There are thousands of wineries in California, way too many to list individually so I have asked the owners of a great site - www.winecountrygetaway.com to allow me to place their site in conjunction with ours to provide you with a wide range of places to visit with insider information on what their thoughts are and to give you suggestions.
While I was trying to find what I considered to be the best site for information this particular site seemed to fit the need best. It is done with taste, creativity and personal experience. For a listing of many, many of the wine trails throughout the state of California go to this site and begin your California Vacation experience in wine country.
Carmel-By-The-Sea – For the Artistic and Active Types
Artistic folks, as well as active folks, will feel quite comfortable visiting Carmel-By-The-Sea, California. There are no streetlights or sidewalks in the residential areas, and some of the homes are missing street addresses. Many artists call this area home, which accounts for the many art galleries that are found in the area.

While the attractive and interesting city of Berkeley, California offers many things to do, one of the best ways to spend some time is by going to Tilden Regional Park. There are two entrances to the park, one off of Wildcat Canyon Road and one off Grizzly Peak Boulevard. Either entrance leads to a ton of different activities that cater to everyone at every age and with every interest.
These two Berkeley, California attractions are located on the southern part of the UC Berkeley campus. The UC Berkeley Art Museum is found at 2626 Bancroft Way, and the Pacific Film Archive is accessed through the Berkeley Art Museum. For anyone who loves art or film these museums are must-see attractions.
Monterey Bay Aquarium opened in 1984 and is considered the nation’s best aquarium which is not hard to understand when you visit. One of the best things about the Monterey Bay Aquarium is that there are always changing exhibits so that even if you have visited before, you are bound to see something new the next time you visit.
In the Golden Gate area of San Francisco there is much more to see and do including that famous bridge and seeing the bridge is a must. The Golden Gate Bridge was built in 1935 to connect San Francisco with Marin County.
Sail Boat - San Francisco, California
As I grew older, however, I have less and less chance to go sailing on the lake. Sailboats were not a big part of my life. I was getting ready for college, then I was moving away, and finally I was settling into my own career. Now that I am a little bit older, however, I want to get back into sail boats again. I have actually been looking into boat shows for the past year, but it is hard to decide.
