Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a bird?  To soar across the sky with no engine noise letting the wind give you the lift and power to sail through the air?

You can have that feeling and enjoy the peace and quiet along with the outstanding beauty of the Bay Area when you take a Glide Ride.  One that is recommended is the Monterey Bay Adventure.  You will see the Bay’s sharp contract of deep blue water and the lush green farmland.  You will fly over the Gabilan Mountain range and look down on historic San Juan Bautista and the San Andres Fault line. 

Or you can take the Mile High Mountain Ride and soar a mile high over the spectacular peaks and jagged rock formations of the Diablo Mountain Range.  Watch the hawks and eagles that are soaring in the same area and know that you have had a thrill of a lifetime on your Glide Ride!

The rides can be for 1 or 2 people but the total weight limit is 350 lbs.  The price for one or two is the same, just know that you will not be able to go if you exceed the weight limit.

The rides last approximately 40 minutes to one hour depending on the flight you want to take.

The Mile High is $299.

Directions to Hollister Municipal Airport, the starting location for the flight: Hwy 101 to Hwy 25 East in Gilroy.  Travel 25 East for 8.6 miles to Hwy 156 East.  Turn left on Hwy 156 East. Take the next right onto San Felipe Rd.  The airport is just about a mile past the intersection on the right.
