The Monterey Bay Aquarium is located at 886 Cannery Row in Monterey, California. It is open every day except for Christmas Day, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Adult tickets for the aquarium are $21.50, children ages 13-17 and senior citizens are $19.95, children ages 3-12 are $12.95, and children under three are admitted to the aquarium for free. The aquarium suggests buying advanced tickets by phone or on the website during the busy summer months to prevent having to wait in line. They also suggest going early or after 2:00 p.m. when the aquarium is less crowded, and the fall and winter months are generally not crowded.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium offers several different exhibits for everyone to enjoy. For instance, visitors can observe sea otters, sharks and rays, the giant octopus, jellyfish, etc. They can learn about the plants and animals living in kelp forests as well as on sandy and rocky shores. You can spend time looking at the animals that are found in the outer bay, such as tuna, hammerhead sharks and sea turtles. The aquarium is home to over 550 species of sea animals.

The Splash Zone is dedicated to kids, and gives them a change to get up close and personal with many different animals. They can see penguins, giant clams and moray eels in their natural habitat. There are many different interactive exhibits to teach children about the animals in a fun and exciting way.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium also supports research and conservation efforts for the ocean and everything in it. Their goal is to teach everyone about conserving the ocean through the exhibits and displays in the aquarium. The aquarium staff is anxious to answer questions and they are friendly and helpful for visitors to visitors or all ages. In addition, the aquarium utilizes the services of over 900 volunteers.

It usually takes most people between two and four hours to view the many different exhibits, however some find they can spend the entire day in the aquarium.
