See Shamu at Sea World in San Diego. San Diego is a wonderful travel destination in California. They have a plethora of wonderful things to see and do, and one of the most popular attractions in the area is Sea World. They have some of the best rides, shows, and animal exhibits around, and everyone will have a great time as they explore the park.
The park is probably most famous for all of the wonderful animal exhibits they have. The exhibits help to educate the public on marine life and the importance of conserving the earth.
People love walking through the Shark Encounter, where they can come face to face with a variety of sharks. You can see bonnethead, sand tiger, blacktip and whitetip sharks as they swim all around you.
Another great area to visit is the Rocky Point Preserve, where you can meet and learn about bottlenose dolphins and sea otters. They are intelligent, funny, cute, and people can spend a long time watching them as they play.
In the Wild Arctic, you get to see a variety of animals from the great white north. You can see beluga whales, arctic foxes, walruses, seals, and some of the park’s most popular residents, the polar bears.
The Shows at Sea World are just as impressive. One of the most famous of the shows is the Shamu Show: Believe. People around the world have heard of the famous killer whale Shamu and all of the incredible acrobatic tricks the orca can perform. Be sure to be careful of where you are sitting. If you are in the splash zone, you are going to get soaked!
Another fun and popular show is Dolphin Discovery, where people can watch as bottlenose dolphins and pilot whales jump, flip, and walk on their tails. This is another show where you have to be aware of where you are sitting if you don’t want to get wet.
Sea World also has some great rides that you are going to want to try. Journey to Atlantis and the Wild Arctic Ride are some of the most popular in the park. You might also want to take a trip to the top of the 265-foot Skytower to see the incredible panoramic view.
The little ones will love all of the rides in Sesame Street’s Bay of Play. Take a spin on Elmo’s Flying Fish Ride, Oscar’s Rocking Eel Ride, and Abby’s Sea Star Spin.
