Knott’s Berry Farm Theme Park - Buena Park, California

's Berry Farm Theme Park.jpgKnott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California used to be a true berry farm, now it is a theme park of 160 acres of extraodinary rides. If you are a fan of wooden roller coasters, then you will truly want to visit this park and enjoy the Supreme Scream, 30-stories up, 3 seconds down. There is also the Xcelerator, rated the world’s best launch coaster, sending riders 0-80 in 2.3 seconds. The Perilous Plunge will take you to a water experience you haven’t had before with its world-record 115-foot water chute at a revolutionary 75-degree angle — just 15 degrees from sheer vertical. There are a number of other rides for the brave of heart to try.

Camp Snoopy offers the rides for the younger set. Some of those rides are the Red Baron, the Huff and Puff, and the Log Peeler. These are all designed with the little people in mind.

If you want to do some things as a family at Camp Snoopy there is the Charlie Brown Speedway, the Grand Sierra Scenic Railroad, the Walter K. Steamboat and others. You will be able to interactive with you children and still enjoy the activities at Camp Snoopy.

Soak City in Orange County is open in May of 2006. Enjoy the thrill of all the water activities at this park!

For those of you that want to experience the history of the early west, visit the Ghost Town. There are tours available for either a half day or full day.

There are a number of shop and restaurants at the park for you to find those special items or that special meal to make the day a real hit for the whole family.

Strollers and Wheelchairs

Single and double-seat strollers, manual wheelchairs and battery-powered wheelchairs are available inside Ghost Town next to the Geode Shop. Rentals are on a first-come, first served basis for a minimal daily charge, plus deposit. Quantities are limited. (Electric wheelchairs can be reserved in advance by calling (714) 220-5495.)

Foreign Currency Exchange and Gift Certificates are available at Knott’s Information Center.

Guests With Special Needs

Accommodations have been made throughout Knott’s Theme Park for our guests with special needs. A Special Assistance Pass is required for modified waiting times to attractions. A Special Assistance Pass may be obtained at the Information Center located behind the grand entrance to the theme park. A doctor’s note or diagnosis documentation may be required. Wheelchair usage does not guarantee a Special Assistance Pass. Knott’s has created a Rider Safety Guide that provides information on wheelchair and non-ambulatory guest access to rides and attractions. The Guide is also available by contacting Knott’s Guest Services, P.O. Box 5002, Buena Park, CA 90622-5002, (714) 220-5220. While at the Park you may also inquire at Knott’s Information Center.

Available for guests visiting the Chicken Dinner Restaurant, Knott’s California Market Place, Independence Hall, and T.G.I.Fridays (no park admission required). There is an additional $3.00 charge every 1/2 hour with a maximum of $15.00.

Directions

Knott’s is located just 10 minutes from Disneyland Park and 30 minutes from both John Wayne/Orange County Airport and downtown Los Angeles. The Park is situated on Beach Blvd. in Buena Park, one mile south of the 91 (Artesia) Freeway and two miles south of the 5 (Santa Ana) Freeway.

Take The Bus From Your Southern California Hotel!

Pacific Coast Sightseeing and Airport Bus provide daily express service to Knott’s from select area hotels. Check with your hotel concierge or front desk for details.

Interstate 5 (Golden State Freeway)

Proceed North on Interstate 5 to State Highway 91 (Riverside Freeway). Proceed West on State Highway 91. Exit at Beach Blvd. Turn left (south) onto Beach Blvd. Proceed two blocks until you reach Knott’s.

Interstate 5 (Santa Ana Freeway)

Proceed South on Interstate 5. Exit at Beach Blvd. Turn right (south) onto Beach Blvd. Proceed five blocks until you reach Knott’s.

State Highway 22 (Garden Grove Freeway)

Proceed East or West on State Highway 22 and Exit at Beach Blvd. Proceed North on Beach Blvd. for approximately 6 miles until you reach Knott’s.

State Highway 91 (Riverside Freeway)

Proceed West on State Highway 91. Exit at Beach Blvd. Turn left (south) onto Beach Blvd. Proceed two blocks until you reach Knott’s.

State Highway 91 (Artesia Freeway)

Proceed East on State Highway 91. Exit at Knott Ave. Turn right (south) onto Knott Ave. Proceed South on Knott Ave. to La Palma Ave. Turn left (east) onto La Palma Ave. Proceed East on La Palma Ave. to Beach Blvd. Turn right on Beach Blvd. to enter Knott’s.
