Searching for reasonable Los Angeles airfare gives you a number of options; you can fly into Los Angeles directly (LAX) which is the area’s largest, and busiest, airport.  It is on the coast, west of downtown.

Long Beach is south of LAX and convenient for the city of Long Beach and South Bay.  Since it is a smaller airport it isn’t as busy as LAX and so may be more appealing to you if this is the area of the city you are planning to visit.

And even smaller airport is Burbank.  This airport is convenient to Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles.  It is easier to travel in and out of then LAX.  In Hollywood you can stroll along the famous Hollywood Blvd. and Sunset Strip.  Maybe you will see an actor or two out and about.  Beverly Hills is still the home of many movie stars.  Hollywood is the historic home of the movie studios.  Both are fun to see when you are in the city.

If you are planning to visit Disneyland and the other attractions in that area you will want to check out flights into Orange County (John Wayne) Airport.

Ontario is in San Bernardino County which is southeast of downtown so may be the one you want to check out if that is the area you are planning to visit.

If you are planning to visit the city for a longer period of time than just a couple of days you may want to compare airline rates at all of the above airports from your departure city.  Sometime there are specials to one airport that do not flow through to the others and you may be able to find a better rate, even if it means you are a little further away from your destination, your car rental can be from any airport so check rates.

Los Angeles spreads over 34,149 square miles with the different things to do in the city spread all over.  Some of them are as much as 60 miles apart and yet are still in the city.  Plan your trip, look at where you want to go and how you are planning to get there so that you don’t end up lost in a city this size.  It is the largest city in California and second largest in the US.

Los Angeles, near the downtown area, are many ethnic neighborhoods with large Asian populations called Korea Town, China Town and Japan Town that are fascinating to visit.  There are also several Afro-American neighborhoods and Hispanic areas.  It is all part of the ethnic makeup of this large city.

The city is situated on an irregularly shaped coastal plain between 30 and 60 miles wide.  The Pacific Ocean with its beaches and ocean cliffs are attractions for both visitors and residents of the city.  So check for good Los Angeles airfare from your destination and come and visit the city.
