The Queen Mary embarked on its maiden voyage in May of 1936, and when the war started it was pressed into service in 1940 by the military, transporting injured troops and even carrying Winston Churchill. In 1947 the Queen Mary resumed its previous passenger service, and continued in this fashion for the next twenty years until it was retired and sold to the city of Long Beach.

When you’re tired after your fun day aboard the Queen Mary, book a hotel room on the ship that includes an onboard spa and fitness room. Enjoy the Family Package which starts at $310 and includes breakfast in the Promenade Cafe, a tour of a Russian submarine, and a pizza from room service.
