Roeding Park is located at 2623 Fresno Street in Fresno, California. There are many different activities to engage in at the park, so whether you want to have some fun or just while away an afternoon, Roeding Park can be the solution. From tennis courts to picnic areas, cool lakes to shady trees, visitors are guaranteed to find the recreation to suit their purposes here. Visitors to Fresno should take the chance to find out why Fresno’s various city parks, especially this one are such popular attractions for residents and tourists.

The admission fee for the park is just $1 per vehicle during the months of February to October. Pre-paid passes can be purchased at the Parks Office in the City Hall Annex, the admission booth at the park, and at various community centers around the city. An annual pass for unlimited entry for an entire year may be purchased for the sum of $25.

Roeding Park has many attractive picnic areas with barbeque grills that may be reserved for full or half days between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Parks Office. The fees for picnic area reservations vary depending on the size of the table and the condition of the area. For instance, tables that are sheltered and on concrete slabs cost more to rent than those that are a simple table on a dirt surface. These reservations can be made up to a year in advance. The park is staffed so that any problems can be addressed. Please note that alcoholic beverages, drugs, etc. are not allowed in the park.

Roeding Park offers many things to do on a summer day. For instance, visitors can play tennis on championship courts or horseshoes in the well-designed and maintained horseshoe pits. Children of all ages can play on several different playgrounds, and they can also enjoy visiting the Chaffee Zoo, Japanese War Memorial, or they can even go fishing at one of several fishing lakes located within Roeding Park. The park also contains two dance pavilions, as well. Many residents of Fresno choose to reserve the Pergola Area of the park for weddings, which is quite beautiful and makes a picture perfect background for any type of wedding. The residents of Fresno know how enjoyable Roeding Park can be, and many take advantage of it during the warm months of the year. The beautiful flower gardens, well-kept lawns and lakes, shady stands of trees and many activities to do make it a welcome part of this beautiful city.
